Over six years ago, we started an initiative to enhance our knowledge regarding the sustainability of existing properties. Initially, we focused on advising property owners on this sustainability process. After a year, we acquired EBG from Sittard as they possessed greater technical expertise.
Together with EBG's management, we approached our network and, in addition to advising, began to focus on developing, realising, and operating “green” heating and cooling systems. As these installations are quite capital-intensive, we sought cooperation with a financial partner and found one a few years ago in Certo Capital.
We have further expanded our activities with three parties, developing various new construction projects and making many existing projects more sustainable. Given the complexity of this sector and the risks involved in operation, we have decided to seek a strong party as a partner or potential acquisition candidate.
At the end of 2022, we found ours in Eteck, the largest company in the Netherlands in this field, and sold all shares of ReDo to Eteck. In the future, we will collaborate with Eteck and look for sustainability projects that Eteck can develop.
The sale of ReDo to Eteck secures the future of Eteck and its employees and allows it to further expand its operations.
